As voted by the IIT student body this fall, the 2014 Student Gift will be new bike racks and fix-it stations for campus. We are thrilled to be providing a gift that will fill a critical need on campus while promoting a stronger culture of sustainability and community.
If we meet our goals, the 2014 Student Gift will increase the capacity for bicycle parking on campus by 30% and create 3 state-of-the-art stations for easy repairs on campus.
Please check back for the final decision on our rack style and the targeted locations for new racks and fix-it stations.
The 2014 Committee has been challenged to reach our most ambitious goals to date. Your support will help us meet our goals and receive challenge gift funding over $10,000 from the IIT Alumni Association Board of Directors and IIT staff. Our goals this year are:
We need your participation to make this year's campaign a success.
In recent years, IIT student leaders have been working hard to revitalize the tradition of giving back. Generations of alumni, students, and supporters have made gifts to the university to show their pride and gratitude for the opportunities they received at IIT. Giving back helps ensure that future generations of students have similar experiences.
Alumni giving plays an important factor in university ranking for surveys, such as U.S. News and World Report. It's all about participation! Every gift, whether it's $1 or $1,000, helps get us closer to our goals and shows others that IIT students care about their university.
Most importantly, we need your support to receive the challenge gift of more than $10,000.
