Department of Computer Science REUNION 2012

40th Anniversary Celebration Group Photo
To build on the success of the CS department's 40th anniversary celebration last year, we invite you to join us on Oct 28-29, 2012, for our newly established annual reunion of IIT CS alumni, faculty, and friends.
The event will begin with a social gathering the evening of Sunday, October 28. The formal program on Monday, October 29, will include a distinguished lecture delivered by Dr. Jack Dongarra (M.S. CS '73), National Academy of Engineering member, along with panels reminiscing on the past and discussing future opportunities for both the department and computer science in general.

IIT CS DepartmentWhen the Information Science Center became the Department of Computer Science in 1971, it was already offering master's degrees and outreach courses for high-school teachers and students. Since then, CS has become the largest department in the College of Science and Letters.
