Volunteer Opportunities

Alumni Admissions Volunteers

As a former student of Illinois Tech, you have a distinct connection to the university through your own experiences. Sharing your Illinois Tech knowledge during the college selection process is helpful for prospective students and parents. And referring a student to the Office of Admissions gives the university a chance to discover bright new minds. The Alumni Ambassadors Program (AAP) offers several volunteer opportunities for alumni who want to help with admissions.

Career Assistance

Help put a student to work by referring jobs, participating in career fairs and alumni panels, and more. Contact Career Services today.

Reunions

If you are interested in organizing a reunion with your former Illinois Tech classmates, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@iit.edu or 312.567.5000.

Regional

Get connected and involved with your regional chapter or international group. Contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@iit.edu or 312.567.5000 with ideas, questions, and offers to help in your city.

The Big Event

Illinois Tech's biggest service event of the year takes place in April. Find out how you can volunteer around campus, in Chicago communities, or in your city by contacting Service Learning at service@iit.edu.

IPRO Judging

Every fall and spring, alumni are needed to assist the staff of the Interprofessional Project (IPRO) Program in evaluating Illinois Tech's multidisciplinary teams representing students from engineering, science, humanities, business, architecture, psychology, law, and design. These teams make terrific advances each semester with a particular project. IPRO Project courses offer a team-based learning environment in which students from various concentrations and disciplines work together to solve a real-world problem. Through the experience of working on this problem, students have the opportunity to apply and develop their teamwork, project management, communication, and ethical behavior skills.

For additional information about the IPRO Program at Illinois Tech or serving as an IPRO judge, contact the IPRO office at 312.567.3162 or ipro@iit.edu.
